Mia + Cole | Intimate Home Wedding | Pensacola, FL

Mia and Cole had an intimate wedding celebration at Mia’s Grandparents house in Pensacola, Florida.  This day was special, and not just because they were married, but because all the pieces fell together almost effortlessly.  There is something about this house, my Grandparent’s home, that makes every stress and worry fade away.  My husband and I were also married in this home, and that day, our day, inspired Mia and Cole to have their own wedding in the same location.  There is a lot to be said for the power of love and family and what that will do to help someone along when the days and deadlines seem tiresome and daunting.  In just 40 days, which is 36 or so more than what my husband and I gave my family, Mia and Cole pulled together the sweetest little wedding celebration with the help of their friends and loved ones.

I am a firm believer that timing is everything.  Sometimes it doesn’t make any sense at all until it makes perfect sense…perspective is a beautiful thing.  For a long while, the timing in Mia and Cole’s relationship or potential for a relationship was all wrong.  Moves, relationships, life things, but in the end they found their way back to each other.  This is testament that what is meant to be will eventually be in it’s own time.

There were few dry eyes that day.  Every bit of everything meant something to Mia and Cole.  Their words, the details, the people, the past, the old, borrowed, blue, and location made this intimate wedding absolute perfection for Mia and Cole.

“I choose you.”

Chloe + Shauncey | Southern Gothic Wedding | Pensacola, FL

Another rainy wedding day turned beautiful.  Call it luck or whatever you’d like, but I call it meant to be.

Without a doubt, this wedding was a beautiful reflection of Chloe and Shauncey.   It wasn’t just a wedding, or just details, it was an extension of their character and their relationship (and not just with each other but with their friends and family too).   Being that Chloe and Shauncey were the bride and groom, I knew that this wedding wasn’t going to be traditional by any standard.  Chloe is a hair stylist and Shauncey is a tattoo artist, both are incredibly talented and creative.   Finding out that they decided to enlist the help of Chloe and Nick at Supposey.Co made my heart go pitter-patter.  I was not disappointed!  Supposey brought to life a Southern Gothic inspired wedding and made it feel equal parts badass and romantic and still showcased the vision and creativity that Shauncey and Chloe brought to the table.

There was so much love at this wedding.  I love when couples are so excited about being married.  The entire day was filled with excitement, anticipation, and really sweet, SWEET moments.  It was beautiful.

The entire day was.  You can see more from this wedding featured in Rock ‘n Roll Bride Magazine!

Leslie + Andrew | King-Garrett Plantation House Wedding | Uriah, Alabama

It was a soggy Saturday, but the sunshine showed promising signs of peeking out from behind the clouds.  If you’ve experienced Gulf Coast rain (or Gulf Coast weather, really) then you know that our weather and weather forecasts are not something that can truly be weighed at 100% until you’re about 20 minutes from whatever you’re planning to do.  If you’re getting married around here, please don’t watch the weather forecasts until you’re about 36 hours from your wedding or you’ll begin to feel a bit unnecessarily crazy.  As Jessica and I drove to King-Garrett Plantation House in Uriah, Alabama from Pensacola, Florida it was still raining, and, as optimistic as we were trying to be, we were bracing ourselves for a very wet wedding day.  We were 2 minutes out and the rain stopped.  THERE WAS HOPE.

Leslie was running around when we came up the driveway.  The entire wedding day, with exception to the cake and food, was done with love and effort by Leslie, Andrew, and their friends and family.  Everything was special and done with meaning.  Each little detail felt like reflection of their personalities, home, and love for one another.  Even the wedding colors were inspired by Leslie’s real life, as they were chosen because of some awesome Keds she found at work in shades of Lemon and Mint.  I love this kind of DIY.  The bouquets that Leslie made herself were gorgeous!  I adored the importance of the kids in the entire day, too.

Andrew and Leslie were happy and excited about EVERYTHING and it showed in their interactions through the day and the moments they spent with us at sunset.  They made everyone who was there and involved feel appreciated and important.  Becoming married after years together was a true celebration and I was so excited to be a small part of their big day.

The other super duper amazing thing that happened (or didn’t) the rest of the day?  NO MORE RAIN.  Small victories.

Here is a small peek at their wedding day!

Ashley + Carl | Runaway Wedding Inspiration | Pensacola, FL

I love small, intimate, runaway weddings.

There is something about them that is completely unlike a ‘traditional’ (I use that word loosely here) wedding.  Less stress, less worry, less stuff, just less…and more time and focus on the coupley goodness that I adore so much.  When people say they’re running away to get married or that they’re simply going to elope, I get excited!  While I love weddings, people are solely why I do this ‘job’ and the other stuff that comes with weddings is just a bonus.

Something small can still be thought out and beautifully detailed.  Here is a little inspiration for you!
